Are there any group discounts?
Yes. Discounted admission fee is ¥450 per person for groups of 30 and above.
Are there any parking spaces?
Yes, there are 10 free parking spaces available to visitors.
However we recommend you to use the public transport facilities as much as possible.
We do not have a separate parking area for coaches and microbuses.
How do I get to the temple using the public transport?
It is 15 minutes walk from JR Saga-Arashiyama Station, or 10 minutes walk from Saga-shakado-mae bus stop.
Can I eat or drink inside the temple grounds?
You can drink at the allocated areas.
However, eating anywhere inside the temple grounds is prohibited.
Can you tell me about any events at the temple?
We have a Setsubun Ritual on the 3rd of February, where we serve amazake (sweet sake) and fukumame (fortune beans) to visitors.
On the 8th of April, Buddha’s birthday festival is held.
During Golden Week holidays (early May) and the autumn foliage season, the tea room will be open to the public.
